Pacific Symphony collaborated with local visionary Debora Wondercheck, founder of the Arts & Learning Conservatory, to present “Symphonic Soul: A Celebration of African Artistry” to a packed house at Segerstrom Hall in Costa Mesa. The thoughtful and multifaceted performance was inspired by the deep desire to celebrate iconic African American artists’ immense contribution to American music. While there wasn’t a lot of time to sell tickets, a front cover story in the Los Angeles Times’ Daily Pilot and a heartfelt interview with Debora in Our Weekly Los Angeles are what likely broke the box office!
