For over 20 years, a powerful display has turned college campuses in Orange County into galleries of survival and strength. More than 1,000 t-shirts, handmade by survivors of sexual assault, hang from clotheslines, each one a heartfelt, emotional testament to resilience and hope.
Every April, during Sexual Assault Awareness Month, local nonprofit Waymakers coordinates these installations to amplify the voices of those who’ve found support through its Sexual Assault Victim Services and Victim Assistance Programs. Last month, the Reveille team was honored to shine a light on the powerful project, with KNBC, KABC, Spectrum News 1, The Orange County Register and TimesOC covering this moving exhibit.
