Asking State Legislators to Put Food First

As federal food assistance faces historic cuts, food banks across California are stepping up alongside the California Association of Food Banks (CAFB) to advocate for critical state funding.
To bring the issue home for media and policymakers, Reveille partnered with CAFB member Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino to spotlight the impact on a local food pantry, Lighthouse of Hope, which serves 800 seniors and families each month. Broadcast media showed up in full force, including KTLA, Spectrum News 1, KCBS, Univision and Estrella TV. The story also landed a front-page, above-the-fold Sunday placement across all three Inland Empire newspapers: The Press Enterprise, The Sun and the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin. We’re proud to support this critical advocacy work and the partners leading it because no one in California should go hungry.
