Caps Off to Inclusion

On June 26, one year after launching their partnership, Beyond Blindness and Orange County Head Start celebrated the first graduating class from their inclusive preschool program, where children of all abilities and backgrounds learn, play and grow together. Twelve preschoolers crossed the stage, accepted their diplomas and shared what they hope to be when they grow up. Future police officers, carpenters, pilots, Power Rangers and princess ballerinas all left ready for their next big adventure: kindergarten.

Reveille helped bring attention to this milestone as Beyond Blindness and Orange County Head Start continue expanding access to inclusive early childhood education across Orange County. We were proud to secure onsite coverage from CBS Los Angeles and The Orange County Register, along with a live post-graduation interview on FOX11 with Beyond Blindness President and CEO Angie Rowe. Every story highlighted the joy of an inclusive classroom where children learn from one another, build lasting friendships and discover that everyone belongs.
