Spring sprung and flowers bloomed at Working Wardrobes’ recent Spring Festival, located on the Newport Beach Civic Center Lawn! Families, friends and supporters came out to enjoy the magic that comes through the joy of a picnic. Attendees spent an afternoon playing interactive games (an amazing obstacle course and creating beautiful crafts) and enjoying delicious bites from The Habit. And of course there was an opportunity to shop at a unique Working Wardrobes Hanger Pop-Up shop featuring unique goods from local vendors. Guests also brought donations from their own closets, all to help further the organization’s mission of helping people overcome barriers to gainful employment.
The Reveille team helped spread the news of the event far and wide, securing broadcast coverage on KABC-TV’s “Community Cares” and landing a front-cover feature by The Daily Pilot’s Susan Hoffman. She came out for the party and captured interviews of families and former clients, including three-year-old Frances McKinney’s thoughts on the festivities in one of her quotes. Truly a fun time for all ages!
