Gibroni’s Pizza Opens In San Clemente With Lines Down The Block

In 2020 when the world shut down, Reveille’s very own Senior Project Director Lindsey Gioutsos and her husband Tony leaned on their food truck experience to dive into pizza experimentation by creating delicious concoctions from their San Clemente home kitchen for their friends to try. And just like that, Gibroni’s Pizza was born. Since then, Gibroni’s has earned its place among the county’s top-rated new pizza joints. These two Michigan natives take pride in being the trailblazers of Detroit-style pizza in Orange County, serving up a unique flavor experience that brings a slice of Motor City to the West Coast.

Up until a few months ago, Gibroni’s was serving pizzas out of JD’s Kitchen & Bar, and now they have officially opened their very own full-service restaurant in downtown San Clemente on North El Camino Real.

Lindsey and Tony turned to Reveille’s creative team to assist with the restaurant’s updated branding and its public relations team to get the word out about their grand opening.

Through Reveille’s branding efforts, Gibroni’s received a new look and feel, along with messaging guidelines and even a new mascot—”Cheesy Wonder,” a slice of friendship for all their patrons to enjoy.

Reveille’s public relations team spread the news far and wide leading up to its grand opening event on National Pizza Party Day. We secured coverage in both the Daily Pilot and The Orange County Register with future coverage slated for the Orange County Business Journal – so stay tuned for that in-depth feature!
