New Recipes for Success with Meals on Wheels Orange County

A good meal has the power to elicit feelings of nostalgia and provide comfort when it’s needed most. That’s why Meals on Wheels Orange County, in partnership with the OC Office on Aging, now offers culturally diverse meals to thousands of at-risk older adults served each week through their home delivery program.

To help tell this story, Reveille coordinated a multicultural media tour and tasting event that brought together 12 Chinese, Vietnamese and Spanish-language media outlets for an inside look at the organization’s kitchen operations and evolving menu offerings. Our favorite moment? A reporter representing Sing Tao Daily, one of the most widely read Chinese newspapers, said of one of the new Asian-inspired meals, “This tastes just like my mom’s recipe!”
