TC: For Too Many Families, Stability Is Fragile

In Orange County, homelessness doesn’t always look the way people expect. Sometimes it’s a family doing everything right and still finding themselves one rent increase, medical bill or job setback away from crisis. To help bring that reality into focus, Families Forward Chief Program Officer Christy Cornwall joined CBS LA Orange County reporter Michele Gile for a live “Coffee with CBS LA” conversation about the growing pressures facing local families and the resources helping them stay housed and regain stability. The opportunity led to two broadcast segments that elevated Families Forward’s mission and put a much-needed spotlight on the challenges many families quietly navigate every day. The clip starts right at about minute 18:00 in the linked video if you want to check it out.
