After seven years in the making, Orange County’s only cancer specialty hospital officially opened, completing City of Hope Orange County’s full continuum of cancer care. This moment called for a thoughtful debut, and Reveille was thrilled to partner with the City of Hope team on a dynamic public relations rollout designed to build excitement, educate the community, and keep hope at the heart of it all. HOPE, ON THE MOVE
We kicked off on November 2 at City of Hope’s Walk for Hope in Irvine with a high-energy flash mob led by Orange County School of the Arts students to celebrate the hospital’s opening. The celebration then traveled to key destinations across Orange County surprising the community along the way.

The celebration continued with a media tour the first week of November as well as the official Grand Opening and ribbon cutting event on November 19. The heartfelt festivities earned standout coverage, from exclusive television segments to comprehensive print stories, capturing both the scale of the achievement and its significance for the region. DAY ONE, WRITTEN IN HOPE
On December 1, City of Hope Orange County welcomed its first patient and unveiled a monumental, data-visualization “HOPE” mural. Created with a local mural artist, Wandering Brushes, the Boeing 747-sized installation transformed the arrival experience into a vibrant work of art. Each one-foot square within the letters represented 100 Californians diagnosed with cancer in 2025, more than 199,980 lives impacted, now more supported than ever before. From flash mobs to first patients, teaming up on this multi-moment approach delivered impact and community visibility at every turn. The hospital debut generated more than 100 media hits, nearly 60 million impressions and presence across every local television station, key radio outlets and front-page print features.
Thank you to City of Hope for an amazing opportunity creating some of our favorite work together.
