Pacific Symphony’s new Artistic and Music Director offers five tips for enjoying a live orchestral concert:
First, be fully present and immerse yourself in the live shared experience.
Be open to your own interpretation – there are no wrong answers.
Read or watch a summary of the piece like you would a movie trailer or the back of a novel.
Watch the musicians onstage to appreciate how the individual fits in with the whole.
And most importantly: Just listen.
