Suited Up For Success

Working Wardrobes recently collaborated with its partner, Simon Scholars, a local organization dedicated to uplifting low-income, first-generation students as they prepare for one of life’s biggest transitions: the journey to college. Jordan, a student within the program who dreams of becoming an immigration lawyer, was suited for success by Pat, one of the nonprofit’s volunteer stylists. The experience marked the first time he had ever worn a suit, the first of many on his path toward a bright future!

Reveille had the pleasure of sharing Jordan’s story with Kara Finnstrom from CBS News Los Angeles. She received a tour of Working Wardrobes’ Career Success Center and learned that wardrobing is only 15 percent of the organization’s services. The other 85 percent? Career navigation services including personalized coaching, resume building, interview prep and skills training.
