Breaking Ground To Build New Futures for OC Teens Aging Out of Foster Care System

It’s a game-changing initiative aimed at providing a solid foundation for transitional aged youth – young people who are navigating the crucial period between adolescence and adulthood (typically ages 16-24).

On Tuesday, September 24, Olive Crest broke ground on a transformative site. Within a year, this plot will blossom into 16 apartment units, each designed to house two residents. More than just living spaces, these homes will feature shared bathrooms, kitchens and living areas to foster a sense of community. The design encourages these young adults to connect and support each other as they face the challenges of newfound independence.

The impact of this innovative project has already resonated throughout the community. Recognizing the story’s potential to change lives, Reveille reached out to The Orange County Register for a comprehensive advance story that published the morning of the groundbreaking event, underscoring the excitement for the project among Olive Crest and its guests. Reveille’s efforts didn’t stop there – they also secured coverage with The Orange County Business Journal and Daily Pilot/TimesOC, ensuring Olive Crest’s amazing initiative received widespread attention.
