What’s better than a warm, fresh tortilla? A warm, fresh tortilla with a side of economic impact! Thanks to the CalFood program, the Community Food Bank of San Benito buys 1,200 packages of tortillas a month from El Nopal Panaderia and Tortilla Factory–fueling a local business and feeding the community with dignity. It’s a win-win-win for food banks, farmers, and small food businesses across California, which is why the California Association of Food Banks (CAFB) is pushing to keep $60 million in state funding on the table.
