Glamour and Giving: An Unforgettable Afternoon

More than 100 guests recently glammed up to support the Southern California Hospice Foundation’s second annual Dolled Up! luncheon. The Orange County-based nonprofit, which promotes awareness of palliative care and hospice options for terminally ill children and adults, hosted a sparkly affair that raised thousands to help cover the cost of care at its Heavenly Home–Orange County’s first nonprofit end-of-life care facility–for residents who are struggling financially.

Guests enjoyed a bubbly champagne reception, a luxurious silent auction and the opportunity to leave a voice message on a nostalgic pink rotary phone to be enjoyed by Heavenly Home residents like Dr. Archie Cachola, a retired CHOC pediatrician and the guest of honor at the festivities. Teri Hausman Brusco of the Hausman Family Foundation, a devoted advocate for those with devastating illnesses, shared touching remarks highlighting hospice care’s impact and acknowledging that not every family has the opportunity for such a meaningful goodbye.

Team Reveille was so pleased to host the editor of Newport Beach Magazine for the beautiful day, while also securing coverage with The Orange County Register and Stu News Newport.
