Recently, City of Hope Orange County marked National Cancer Survivors Month with a powerful, purpose-filled celebration, uniting 300+ cancer survivors for an emotional bell ringing and luncheon that echoed far beyond the crowd of 600+ supporters, including elected leaders, doctors, nurses, and patients. This event wasn’t just about the past, it was also a look ahead: The highly anticipated handoff of the keys to OC’s first dedicated cancer specialty hospital, opening later this year, marked the next chapter in cancer care.
The week kicked off with a four-part series of live segments on Good Day LA with Koco McAboy, featuring survivor stories and interviews with City of Hope doctors and leaders. Then KTTV’s entertainment reporter and cancer survivor Amanda Salas returned to ring the bell once more with joy and hope!
With 37,000+ patients already served, City of Hope OC is transforming what cancer care looks like—and we’re honored to help share their story.
