Spreading Awareness About Senior Hunger

Senior hunger is an important issue, and what better way to bring attention to it than by highlighting the efforts of two of our amazing clients: Meals on Wheels Orange County and Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County?

Through a shared byline, Meals on Wheels President and CEO Holly Hagler and Second Harvest CEO Claudia Bonilla Keller brought attention to the fact that 29% of seniors in Orange County are experiencing food insecurity, and that number is rapidly increasing. They also highlighted the solution their organizations provide: ensuring that older adults are able to access the vital nutrition necessary for their health.

While Second Harvest and Meals on Wheels work separately in their missions to ensure no senior goes hungry, their combined efforts showcase a commitment to senior nutrition and well-being of the older adults in our community. Reveille set out to distribute this byline to hyperlocal publications to reach key audiences in individual communities throughout Orange County’s many cities. Through Reveille’s media efforts, this byline was shared by Fullerton Observer, Huntington Beach News, Mission Viejo News, Coto De Caza News, Ladera Ranch News, San Clemente News, Newport News, Daily Pilot, and TimesOC.
