As the largest nonprofit provider of nutrition and supportive services for at-risk older adults, Meals on Wheels Orange County provides more than 20,000 people with 1.1 million meals each year to help fight food insecurity among older adults aged 60+.
During their annual March For Meals #SAVELUNCH fundraising and awareness campaign, Meals on Wheels Orange County set out to reach a new, younger demographic of donors and volunteers to enlist support for their programs. Reveille, alongside the Meals on Wheels team, collaborated with social media influencers to amplify this message to a new generation in hopes of gaining supporters for decades to come.
We rolled out the blue carpet for the first-ever Meal Taste Testing Event, which included a tour of their industrial kitchen, a presentation by Meals’ certified dietician about the nutrition-packed food, and a sampling of eight different entrees.
This intimate dining experience not only introduced these influencers to Meals on Wheels Orange County, but also resulted in an 185.5% increase in webpage visits and 25 new followers across Meals on Wheels Facebook and Instagram channels. They even got some new volunteers out of the exposure!
